What to Expect
Your first visit will last approximately one hour. It will include a comprehensive evaluation and treatment administered by a licensed physical therapist. We will review your medical history and any diagnostic tests that are available. Your evaluation will include assessment of your current functional deficits, pain level, posture, as well as, a thorough analysis of your flexibility, strength, balance and endurance.
Following your evaluation, the physical therapist will explain your treatment plan and expectations for recovery, set goals with you and schedule upcoming visits. Communication between the patient and physical therapist is of utmost importance and you are an active participant in your recovery.
When Should I arrive?
We ask that you arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time in order to complete all necessary paperwork.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing, athletic wear. Please bring shorts for any lower extremity or back evaluation.
What should I bring?
- Photo Identification (Valid Driver’s License, Valid state ID, School ID Card or Valid Passport)
- Prescription/Doctor Referral
- Insurance Card
- Imaging results: Radiograph, MRI, CT Scan, EMG
What does my insurance cover?
Once your information regarding your insurance plan is received we check on what physical therapy benefits are available, however it is always best to call and ask your provider what is covered.
